Published: 28 October 2026
The co-located events run at the Shangri-La Singapore under the theme “Building Networks for AI Demand”, with a pre-event day of summits on 1 December followed by the main programme of panels, keynotes and roundtables on 2 and 3 December. Carriers, hyperscalers, data centre operators, investors and regulators will share the programme, which spans the ITW and Datacloud stages alongside a finance and investment summit and a dedicated energy track.

Background and analysis. Southeast Asia has emerged as one of the most contested arenas for AI infrastructure. Singapore in particular has become the region's de facto hub for cloud regions, chip design houses and data centre investment, while newer markets are jockeying to host the next wave of capacity. Developments in the region are increasingly watched globally as a bellwether for how AI buildout proceeds in emerging economies.
Our take. This is a story worth tracking not for the headline deal itself, but for what it signals about how the AI stack is being assembled: more specialised silicon, more regional capacity, and more emphasis on speed of delivery. Each shift creates openings for challengers — and risks for incumbents.
